Custom Apparel for Schools and Teams

Short answer: East Coast Embroidery outfits K to 12 schools, youth leagues and booster groups across Rhode Island and nearby New England. Coaches and staff get embroidered polos, jackets and hats. Teams and spirit nights get screen printed shirts at event volume. About 70 percent of school work we quote is embroidery for staff and coach gear. About 30 percent is printing for spirit wear and event shirts.

We work with the school or league as the buyer. Matt Sidlo owns East Coast Embroidery. The company dates to 1986.

What schools and teams order

  1. Embroidered coach and staff polos, quarter zips and jackets
  2. Embroidered hats and caps for staff and sideline use
  3. Screen printed spirit shirts, fundraiser tees and event day shirts
  4. Heat press names or numbers when a short run needs them (24 piece minimum)

Minimums and turnaround

  1. Embroidery: 6 pieces
  2. Shirt printing: 24 pieces
  3. Heat press: 24 pieces
  4. Contract work: 24 pieces
  5. Laser etching: 60 pieces

Turnaround: about 2 weeks for current customers. Up to 3 weeks for new customers, because the logo is tested. Plan spirit night and tournament dates with that window. Hours: Mon to Thu 10 to 4, Fri 10 to 1.

How school ordering usually works

  1. Athletic director, booster lead or office manager sends the logo, sport or group name, sizes and date needed.
  2. We quote embroidery, screen printing or a mix.
  3. New embroidery logos have a $50 digitizing fee. The file stays on file for reorders each season.
  4. You approve the proof. We produce and you pick up in East Providence or we ship in New England.

Heat press can add names or numbers on runs that meet the 24 piece minimum.
